Recently when talking with a friend, our discussion turned towards motivating people. We were discussing the efforts put in our work but see failures, get ourselves stressed out and feel dissappointed.
I shared with him this good old secret which my father told me when I was disappointed with my results. He said everybody in this world will be passing through their success cycle and failure cycle.
We would get successful results in whatever we do when we are in success cycle. It always doesn’t mean that we are putting rite efforts. Sometimes even when we do things wrong those would yield/lead us to success.
And the failure cycle, it’s vice versa. Nothing would work out when we are in this cycle. Does that mean we aren’t putting our efforts? Certainly, no
I wondered when I started understanding this.
You may now be having below BIG questions pondering in your mind.
a. How can we find in which cycle are we now?
b. Is there any fixed time span for these cycles?
c. And what to do when I find i am in failure cycle now?
Here are my answers:
a. We can find out by ourselves in which cycle we are now by just seeing our results.
b. No, there is no fixed time span for these cycles. It actually varies person to person, time to time. A success cycle may be followed by a failure cycle and then we may go to success cycle again. We may even have a series of success cycles and a failure cycle would come after a long time.
I would say it depends on how we reacted to the results in that cycle and how we performed next. Learn from your failures.
It’s again a repeat in my blogs, but i would still repeat it again, ‘Experience is the only lesson to know life’
c. Find out the reasons for the failure. List out the mistakes done. Stop keep thinking about the failure, this would impact the results of our current work and we will be pushed again into failure cycle.
Start thinking what needs to be done to avoid the mistakes again. Push ourself into the success cycle. As I said previously, in failure cycle even when we put rite efforts we still see failures. So, keep learning from each failure and drive towards success cycle by executing our strategies.
I hope by this time we got some understanding on why a person can have series of failure cycles in his life. So, use this nice principle and increase your success cycles.
Make use of whatever we learned in the failure cycle and grow fast in success cycle. Increase the number of success cycles. As I said above, in success cycle even when we put wrong/no efforts we taste success. This would obviously imply when proper efforts are put then we are pushed to even greater heights. That way utilize the opportunities in success cycle.
All I would say is next step in our life is decided by how we percieve things in present step.

I disagree with the funda of success cycle and failure cycle, when you say whatever you do will result in success when u r in success cycle (and opposite for falure cycle). Afterall there are only 2 cases: success and failure. these are relative and they will fall one after another(some M successes and N failures :)).
ReplyDeleteYes, there are some instances when you dont put in all efforts, you do some mistakes and still u get the success.. but thats just a matter of actuall hardwork needed for the task, your perception of success and hardwork, some extra forces that were acting at that time like your luck, some other things related to your work etc.
I agree with point 'C' that we should learn from mistakes n etc.
Hope I'm clear and didnt confuse u. :)
hi uday......
ReplyDeleteppl learn more by experience..so failures are surely needed..so are successes to keep us going..
nice to see you blog
